Digital Landcare - Qld Beta Testing Project

Feral Arts is partnering with Landcare Queensland and Landcare groups from across the state in developing a PlaceStories digital storytelling system customised the specific needs of the Landcare network.

The initial testing and development in stage 1 of the project has been a partnership with Dalrymple Landcare, in north Queensland. You can view the work they have created online.

Stage 2 Beta Testing and Development

In Stage 2 Landcare groups from a number of other regions are getting involved. Stage 2 is scheduled to run for 6 months during the first half of 2008. A particular focus of the project will be to explore the potential of the PlaceStories system to play a role in monitoring and evaluation work required for National Landcare Program (NLP) funded projects.  Beta testers will be creating projects and stories  that document:

  • The objectives of the project
  • How the project went in meeting its objectives
  • How these objectives helped meet NLP goals
  • What lessons were learned to help improve landuse, sustainability, resilience and profitability
